Few players have ever burst onto the Twerton Park scene so spectacularly as Deion did in the Autumn of 1992. Having been released by Bristol City he scored on his debut at Gateshead, grabbed a brace against Farnborough then scored the winner in the 3-2 FA Cup victory over Cardiff City. This lead to unsuccessful trials with Leeds United and Southampton. He ended the season with 10 goals but this was good as it ever got for the lightening fast forward. There were occasional glimpses of his talent over the next three seasons but this just added to the frustration of what could have been. He had made 115 appearances for City when he was sold to Gloucester City in June 1996, although an incredible 66 were from the bench. The less said about his 45 minute return in February 1998 the better.

More 'famous' for his slight resemblance to David Beckham in his early months at Twerton Park he was in and out of the side and made a number of appearances for the youth side. Eventually his impatience for first team football saw him depart just two games into the 2001-02 season for Chippenham Town.
