Report taken from

Inspired substitutions from Wrexham manager Dean Saunders proved the difference as the visitors struck twice late on to inflict defeat on Bath in their first home game of the season. Saunders brought on Mathias Pogba and Adrian Cieslewicz midway through the second half and the pair made an immediate impact, providing an assist apiece as Wrexham skipper Andy Morrell grabbed a brace. Both sides looked most threatening through set pieces early on with clear-cut chances hard to come. However, Wrexham’s Danny Wright and Bath’s Lee Phillips wasted good opportunities to put their sides in front. Wright missed a glorious chance when he stole in unmarked to meet Jamie Tolley’s free-kick from the left but the striker mishit his shot and the ball looped tamely into Glyn Garner’s hands. At the other end, Phillips could only head straight at Chris Maxwell when Mark Preece helped on Scott Murray’s free-kick into the Mansfield box. After Morrell’s two tap-ins City went close to a consolation in stoppage time but Maxwell produced a wonderful save to claw away Preece’s header which seemed destined for the top corner.
